Our Process

Our Process

Our Unique Stress-Free Process

Our eight-step process takes your home
from concept to completion.

Design Phase

Every quality home remodel and addition starts with thorough planning. We work with you to discover which layout changes, features, and updates you want to see in your home, and we create a complete plan before construction begins.

STEP 1: Design Deposit

Every quality home remodel and addition starts with thorough planning. We work with you to discover which layout changes, features, and updates you want to see in your home, and we create a complete plan before construction begins.

Step Two: Creating Floor Plans and Design Elements

During this step, our team will scope out the project. Once we have a good understanding of the space, we create and design floor plans for the remodel, individual room upgrades, or additions. We will make suggestions along the way for materials based on your preferred style and budget.

Contract Phase

Once we finish the design phase and you approve your new home designs, we’ll create a contract that details the scope of work, the fees, and our standard guarantees.

Step Three: Drawing Up a Contract

The contract includes the total breakdown of the scope of work, the required materials, and the payment schedule. Customers pay a 10% scheduling deposit upon signature so we can schedule subcontractors to begin work.

Pre-Construction Phase

With the contract signed, our team will move onto the pre-construction phase of your project. This stage keeps the project organized and efficient. We value your time and want to minimize our disruption to the property, especially if you and your family are staying onsite. The pre-construction phase includes:

Step Four: Creating Processes

Your Project Leader will meet with you at your home to go over the future construction site and where materials can be stored onsite throughout the remodel. We will also discuss how contractors and workers can access the site and the anticipated work schedule and average workday expectations.

Step Five: Site Preparation

During this step, construction materials will be delivered to your home for storage. Our team will obtain all the permits for the work so construction can begin without interruption.

Construction Phase

With the contract signed, our team will move onto the pre-construction phase of your project. This stage keeps the project organized and efficient. We value your time and want to minimize our disruption to the property, especially if you and your family are staying onsite. The pre-construction phase includes:

Step Six: Construction Begins!

This step includes all of the construction outlined in the scope of work. Contractors will be onsite during the discussed work hours, and your Project Leader will give you frequent updates about their progress. You’ll be fully informed of any changes to the schedule and any potential changes to the scope of work.
Changes to the Scope of Work

Older homes sometimes have unexpected obstacles based on older materials, building codes that have since been modified, or construction design. As construction gets started, we might also find opportunities to improve your home’s quality or value. Our policy is to always talk to the homeowner before making any major changes to the scope of work. This helps provide transparency and ensures your home remodel stays within your budget. Every major change requires your written approval.

You can also request a change order if you change your mind about the materials or style elements of a remodel. Your Project Leader can create a change order to make sure your newly remodeled home is a perfect fit.

Post-Construction Phase

Our job doesn’t end the day we complete the last finish and pack up our tools. Instead, we offer easy post-construction communication to support your remodel.

Step Seven: Post-Construction Walk-Through

After everything has been finished and cleaned, your Project Leader will walk you through the finished remodel or addition. At this step, we make sure all of your questions or concerns are addressed and that you love the new changes. This step includes going over newly installed appliances and features.

Step Eight: Semi-Annual Calls Throughout the Warranty Period

Each of our remodeling projects includes a warranty period. Our team will call you every six months throughout this period. If anything needs adjusted or repaired, just let us know or give us a call!
